Lead Advanced Practice Provider - Urgent Care Service Line

SUMMARY

As a Lead Advanced Practice Provider, you will work with the department and operational leadership to assure the delivery of state-of-the-art clinical care and promote the professional development of the APP's.

STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Urgent Care

SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings (Monday-Friday; Weekends)

  • Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least three (3) years of experience required
  • At least six (6) months of management experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Care. Address acute illness and injury; make diagnoses, perform medical histories and physical examinations; order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, write orders, make entries in medical records and monitor effects of treatments; perform minor procedures and annual screening; review and update medical records
  • Leadership. Training of students and educating other Advanced Practice Providers in the department. Attend Dyad monthly meetings, inputting payroll for all department and completion of Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE).
  • Administrative Assistance. Complete insurance and medical discharge documentation; provide guidance to ancillary personnel and counsel family members; prepare daily billing sheets and complete chart entries on patient interaction

EDUCATION:

  • BS
  • MS: Advanced Practice Nursing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • NP - Nurse Practitioner Certification - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
