SUMMARY:
As a Registration Specialist, you are a key player in department workflow and organization directly affecting patient satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Registration. Conduct accurate patient registration process by collecting accurate information; verify demographic, insurance and physician information; update accounts as needed; obtain all necessary signatures, consent forms and financial agreements; collect co-pays when applicable
- Department Management. Answer department phone calls and relay messages to appropriate staff; participate in departmental performance improvement plans; maintain supply of all forms and paper
- Documentation. Enter all required data into computer system; ensure all reports and logs are completed accurately and on time
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- None.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Medical Terminology preferred
- Medical Insurance Billing and Registration preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Exceptional documentation skills and professional behavior
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $17.50 - $19.65
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
