Job Title: Patient Transporter
Department: CPH Radiology
Location: Canton Potsdam Hospital
Hours Per Week: As needed
Schedule: Primarily Saturday and Sunday coverage, 12 hour shifts, 7 am to 7: 30 pm
SUMMARY:
Transporting patients to and from floors to the Imaging department. Requires training and proficiency with Meditech, eCw, synapse, scanning and other workflow processes. Responsible for pulling and reviewing specialty schedules (MRI,CT,NM), pulling of patient orders, calling to confirm patient appointments. Responsible for re-stocking supplies, and placing monthly Sywest order. Maintain all O2 tanks for the imaging department, and ensure they are filled with maintenance. Cover in the front office as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transporting patients to and from floors to the Imaging Department.
Calling scheduled patients to confirm appointments, and verifying orders.
Restocking supplies and placing Sywest monthly order, maintain O2 tanks as needed.
Covering the front desk as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma/Equivalent
BLS within three months of hire
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year experience in healthcare

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $17.74 - $25.22
