Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CSEA)
Location: Massena Hospital
Hours Per Week: 24
Schedule: 730a-330p, 330p-1130p. Every other weekend




SUMMARY:
Responds to patients call lights promptly and graciously to determine patients needs and communicates required needs to appropriate personnel.
Must be able to read, write and perform arithmetic calculations for proper patient identification and to take and record weights, intake and output, and vital signs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • (50%) Performs and documents direct comprehensive, family and patient centered care under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff.
  • (25%) Provides world class customer service to patients and families.
  • (15%) Reports patient conditions directly to licensed nursing staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.
  • (10%) Maintains a safe and clean patient and family centered environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective October 1, 2024, all new hires high school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate
  • Must be able to perform effectively assigned routine patient care tasks.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively (up to 80% of work time) with sick and/or irritable patients in order to gain their cooperation and allay apprehensions.
  • BLS required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • None.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $16.70 - $22.49

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
