Job Title: Cook - Per Diem
Department: Food and Nutrition Services
Location: Clifton Springs Hospital

Address: 2 Coulter Road, Clifton Springs, NY
Hours Per Week: Per Diem / As Needed to fill in for other cooks
Schedule: 8 hour Shifts with alternating Weekends

Shifts are either 5:30am to 1:30pm or 10am to 6pm

Position Summary:

To prepare and cook food items and baked goods for patients/residents, cafeteria, catering, vending, and all retail operations within RGHS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare food items and baked goods according to daily assignments.

• Maintain sufficient supplies of hot and cold foods for daily needs.
• Assists Senior Cook in food preparation as requested.

• Maintains the highest level of customer service as outlined by department and RGHS policies.
• Follows all departmental HAACP procedures including logging of all temperatures. Cleans all equipment used in accordance with New York State Sanitation Code, Chapter 1, Part 14.

• Responsible for attending all scheduled meetings and retaining all In-service information requested

• Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-4 years previous experience in related field preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $17.50 - $21.58

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
