Clifton Springs Inpatient Addiction Recovery Program is a DNV and OASAS certified level 818 program, which provides inpatient recovery treatment for patients struggling with substance use disorders.
Our patients reside on the unit for the duration of their care, and participate in a program designed to support and educate them with the goal of moving forward into a life of freedom from active substance use. This very rewarding specialty unit is highlighted by the teamwork of a multidisciplinary care group working with our patients to start them on their recovery journey.

DEPARTMENT: Inpatient Addictions Recovery Program
Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills: Registered Nurse license in New York State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Patient Care & Service.Assess patient’s physical status and medical needs initially and on an ongoing basis on this 28 day inpatient chemical dependency treatment unit.Administer medications and complete medical treatment orders as needed as part of the unit nursing team. Collaborate and communicate as appropriate with provider and multidisciplinary team members regarding patient’s medical status; ensure that provider orders are carried out. Support LPN staff and Behavioral Health Technician staff and supervise as needed. Provide educational and emotional support to patients, friends and families.
Planning & Communication. Assess and present any symptoms, needs or change in patient status to appropriate members of treatment team, including provider and on-call leadership when indicated. Develop or maintain individualized care plans customized for each patient’s unique needs, with support from the interdisciplinary health team as needed; maintain effective communication to convey patient health status, treatment plans and progress.
Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management. Demonstrate proficient use of an EHR – including accurate patient and provider documentation and communication
Compliance. Adhere to required department and system protocols, regulations (local, state, federal) and education requirements
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED); BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)

Rapid Pay Increases
Receive rapid pay increases every six months during the first two years of employment, and annual increases thereafter.
Nurses earn up to an additional $1.00/hour for each certification earned plus a $1,000 bonus for the first certification earned, and $500 for the second certification.
