SUMMARY

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Annual Giving will develop and execute stewardship, cultivation, and solicitations strategies for current and prospective annual donors, including St. Lawrence Health employees through the annual employee giving campaign. The Manager of Annual Giving will adhere to nonprofit standards of excellence in fundraising and communication. This position will implement strategies to expand the direct mail program, e-solicitation program, the annual employee giving drive, and grateful patient outreach; continually analyzing results and changing tactics based on the results of that analysis. This position also includes oversight of gift processing and acknowledgment.

LOCATION: Canton Potsdam Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Administration

SCHEDULE: 8 Hour Days

ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of individual fundraising experience with a proven track record of achieving ambitious revenue targets required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong analytic skills, and ability to apply strategic and creative thinking.

  • Exposure to/experience with annual and long-term planning and budgets.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and database management (Raiser’s Edge preferred).

  • Knowledge of techniques and best practices in annual giving stewardship communications (including email solicitations and social media strategies for online fundraising).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and effective presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on a team and to build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of the organization.

  • Adherence to timelines, especially as they relate to delivery of stewardship, cultivation and solicitation pieces.

  • Ability to manage and deliver on multiple competing priorities.

  • Willingness and ability to travel locally when needed.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.

  • Ability to motivate and empower employees to perform to the best of their abilities.

  • Ability to be flexible, collaborative and catalytic.

  • Demonstrated passion for organization’s mission.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
