SUMMARY

As the Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will provide leadership and direction to ACM Global Laboratories’ continuous improvement efforts across multiple value streams and locations. You will support activities to drive Key Performance Indicators across the business including but not limited to, safety, quality, service and cost performance. Assist in the identification, development and deployment of Lean/continuous improvement tools geared towards delivering operational excellence.

LOCATION: ACM Global Laboratories - 160 Elmgrove Park

DEPARTMENT: Enterprise Program Management

SCHEDULE: Days

ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelors degree required; technical degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Finance is preferred

  • 3 to 5 years experience implementing change, using multiple Continuous Improvement tools (i.e.: Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, etc.) required

  • 3 to 5 years functional process improvement experience in an operation, manufacturing or quality environment required. Healthcare or Medical Device experience is preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team leadership capabilities, and good project management skills

  • Working knowledge of financial principles, and practices, as they relate to business results

  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with MS Project, MS Office Suite, IGraphx or other statistical analysis/process mapping software

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Culture. Support the ongoing development of an enterprise wide continuous improvement culture. Assist in efforts focused on driving employee engagement, enhancing organizational capabilities and developing change agents
  • Improvement. Provide expertise in all areas of Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Quality Improvement Methods and other appropriate areas of knowledge. Study existing operations and processes to identify opportunities to drive out waste and improve profitability. Lead the implementation of a tiered daily management process, 5S, mistake proofing, supply chain/logistics optimization, and transactional process improvements. Actively participate in the identification, development, and application of next generation continuous improvement processes/tools
  • Collaboration. Facilitate Kaizen events using a range of Lean tools. Deliver relevant training and coaching, to ensure employees are appropriately educated throughout the business. Work with all areas of manufacturing to develop common work standards, as well as the identification and reapplication of best practices
