SUMMARY

Rochester Regional Health, a large integrated health system in Rochester, NY is inviting applicants for the role of Lead Physician of Endocrinology. The Lead Physician is responsible for the strategic visualization and leadership of all operations for the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.

ATTRIBUTES

The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership and a track record of excellence in patient care, teaching and development. Top candidates should be strong mentors to new and existing staff members and have the ability to champion excellence in achieving clinical quality outcomes in a multi-disciplinary Endocrinology unit that skillfully combines comprehensive and compassionate inpatient and outpatient care with cutting edge research and educational programs in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Reporting to the Senior Vice president of Primary Care and Ambulatory Services, the Lead Physician will serve as the administrative leader providing direction in operational financial performance, recruitment, strategic planning, retention and oversight.

With multiple locations across the region, our units serve as a major referral source for diabetes care and endocrinology consultations. They include multiple Diabetes Centers focused on therapy, education and clinical research. The Unit also houses a Nutrition and Weight Management Center along with two Thyroid Centers providing thyroid FNA and treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS: Rochester Regional Health seeks an accomplished clinician with an M.D. from an accredited medical school, current board certification in gastroenterology, eligible for licensure in New York State. Candidates must have experience in developing and leading clinical programs, a record of effective administrative experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated commitment to promoting a collaborative integrated environment.
