Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing various front end revenue cycle functions in multiple outpatient settings for a specific region. These include pre-registration, insurance verification, point-of-service cash collections, financial counseling, registration, coding, billing, charge entry while paying particular attention to addressing the needs of our customers.

The FERC manager collaborates with the leadership team to ensure effective practice management within the department and efficient front end workflow processes.

LOCATION: Riedman Campus



Key Responsibilities:
•Prepares and analyzes reports on physician billing and accounts receivable including tracking and trending of productivity and quality.
•Maintains days in AR according to department standards.
•Orients, trains, coaches, and evaluates team members to ensure a competent and productive work force.
•Monitors to make sure that the departments under their supervision are in compliance with revenue cycle procedures.
•Identifies missed revenue opportunities and implements process improvement as well as providing assistance in areas of budget preparation, general accounting and preparation of reports.
•Encourages and initiates continuing education and job development to improve office operations. Ensures excellent customer service skills through mentoring and coaching of all direct reports.
•Oversees office supervisors in maintaining adequate staffing coverage to ensure operational demands are met.
•Participates with director in reviewing performance indicators including but not limited to claim edit work queues, POS co-pays and payments, charge entry completion.
•Ensures the accuracy of all data collected in order to support encounter integrity and claims submission.

Minimum Qualifications:
•Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting, preferred
•Front end revenue cycle experience, preferred
•Combination of equivalent education and experience may be considered
•Knowledge of medical billing, coding, claims cycle, regulations, managed care.
•Basic computer skills required; IDX Bar and/or Epic Cadence experience preferred.
•Effectively establishes and maintains working relations at all levels.
•Should possess a high degree of professionalism and excellent communication skills.
•Must demonstrate ability to lead and direct team members.
•Outstanding organization skills required.
