SUMMARY
Under pharmacist supervision, responds to and/or triages nursing phone calls, prepares medications orders, accurately delivers meds and restocks as necessary. Provide superior customer service by modeling the organizations values.

ATTRIBUTES
Minimum 6 months of experience within pharmacy service line
National Pharmacy Technician Certification
NYS Office Of Professions Registered Pharmacy Technician
RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Preparation & Delivery. Process and prepare medication orders by repackaging bulk medication into individual size packages; add measured drugs or nutrients to intravenous solutions under sterile conditions
Documentation & Reporting. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using EMR system (Electronic Medical Record); use pharmacy information system to run reports and access medication data; receive and store incoming supplies and verify quantities
Maintenance & Sterilization. Clean and maintain the repackaging machine after use; non-sterile compounding and prepare oral liquids, creams and ointments in a clean environment; measure and combine medication accurately with proper documentation; ensure proper disposal of medication
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician - NYS Office of Professions
- CPhT - Pharmacy Technician Certification - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
PAY RANGE: $18.25 - $20.50
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
