SUMMARY

As a General Facilities Tech, your strong attention to detail and commitment to overall functionality allows for a safe, efficient and comforting environment for both staff and patients throughout the facility.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: Newark Wayne Community Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Facilities

SCHEDULE: Evenings, Rotating weekends and holidays

ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous work experience in a related field
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Compassionate, warm and patient focused

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance. Assist in delivering supplies, equipment maintenance, room turnover, emergency response, patient and/or specimen transport and routine housekeeping functions; ensure a clean, safe and functional working environment
  • Technical Support. Evaluate broken equipment and perform minor repairs; provide extra support for other technician such as restocking, and set up of equipment.
  • Security. Provide security support services as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $17.25 - $19.40

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
