Program Manager - Global Nursing


Position Summary:

The Nursing Program Manager for Global Nursing will partner and collaborate with recruitment and nursing leadership to identify and retain top nursing talent for Rochester Regional Health in an effort to meet the needs of the patients we serve.

STATUS: Full Time

DEPARTMENT: Global Nursing



  • Three years clinical experience preferred.
  • Possession of critical thinking, analytical, teaching/coaching and research skills.
  • Compassionate, warm and patient focused
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment


  • Oversight of nursing programs such as EXCEL and DISCOVER Program with an emphasis on continued coordination and support of participant needs.
  • Work closely with Recruiting and Nurse Leaders to develop pipeline candidates, make offers and ensure ongoing support and coordination for new international nurses.
  • Take part in nurse residency, clinical education of new nurses, skills/competencies
  • Using clinical expertise, partner with Clinical groups on the units with patient care, helping students learn and maintain engagement.
  • Follow up on the units with new hires during and after orientation.
  • Routine cadence of touchpoints with 1-2 year nurses.
  • Act as a supportive role for all existing nurses, both new and tenured, to work on execution of retention activities.
  • Form retention committee
  • Be resource for any internal employee looking for a career change/move. Help them navigate through local or RRH positions to find the right fit and prevent them from leaving the organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or ASN with BS in any field, required.
  • BS Nursing or in a health care related field preferred.

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:

New York State Registered Nurse license required for those with an ASN or BSN

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
