SUMMARY:
Coordinates, schedules, installs, maintains, repairs and oversees all electrical related work. Work involves performance of skilled electrical tasks in maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of electrical equipment. Routine maintenance, service, and repair work are performed independently with minimal direction. Provide direction and training for other Facilities staff as needed to accomplish electrical tasks.

ATTRIBUTES:
Extensive troubleshooting experience
Good understanding of electrical medium voltage switch gears and transfer switch operations.
Clear understanding of NEC (National electric code)
Must have experience with 3 phase electrical application required
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in Commercial and or Healthcare required (In lieu of 5 years’ experience, a master electrician license will be accepted)
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
Master electrician license required (if 5 years of experience is not held.)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, coordinate, schedule and oversee all electrical related work.
- Performs all facets of electrical tasks from minor (lighting fixture repairs, outlet installations, power distribution system monitoring, inspections, preventive and predictive maintenance) to more complex tasks such as (power distribution/critical system, troubleshooting, switch gear maintenance/repair, 3 phase electrical system service and maintenance, generator/transfer switch service/maintenance).
- Has the ability and knowledge to layout special electrical system projects and make necessary upgrades to electrical distribution equipment/systems as necessary to tasks.
- Provides electrical troubleshooting support for all other trade fields as needed for their successful completion of work assignments.
- Has the knowledge and ability to operate specialized electrical equipment such as multi meters, Amp meters, meter equipment, line analyzers, Piping benders and other related tools and equipment necessary to effectively troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems.
- Has the knowledge and ability to read, interpret and utilize plans, schematic drawings, line diagrams, specifications and work orders to determine work requirements and actions needed to successfully complete electrical related tasks.
- Has the knowledge and ability to interpret codes such as NEC and other regulations related to the electrical field to make effective decisions that result in compliant task outcomes.
- Utilizes advanced electrical skills and knowledge to train other staff in accomplishing successful electrical tasks.
- Performs preventive and predictive maintenance for essential electrical equipment/systems to maintain them in proper working condition.
- Assist department leadership in managing electrical contractor work activities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
PAY RANGE: $27.40 - $41.83
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
