SUMMARY

The Clinical Regulatory Compliance Specialist provides and supports regulatory, accreditation and certification activities to achieve and sustain ongoing compliance. Takes action to assure timely and complete preparation, support and follow-up to surveys, reviews and investigations.

STATUS: Full Time

LOCATION: 330 Monroe Ave. Rochester, NY

DEPARTMENT: Home Care and Hospice

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

ATTRIBUTES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other health related field from an accredited educational organization required

  • RN licensure in New York or other health-related field preferred

  • Experience working with regulatory and accreditation systems (eg. DOH, NYPORTS, TJC, IPRO, OMH)

  • Experience in large group presentation and facilitation

  • Experience with data analysis and QI/PI preferred

  • Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook

  • Clinical experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Patient Care & Service. Identifies and assesses risk as an integral part of the regulatory compliance review process. Manages risk through use and facilitation of risk reduction strategies. Provides guidance and utilizes quality improvement tools and techniques to address deficiencies.

  • Planning. Collaborates in the development and implementation of affiliate/departmental/service/unit level regulatory and/or accreditation plans, programs, and reports.

  • Communication. Accountable to collaborate with others to ensure that necessary plans of action are completed and submitted to regulatory, accreditation and/or standards organizations by indicated due dates.

  • Documentation. Documents all patient care and coordinating activities per agency standards

  • Compliance. Develops and maintains competence in state and federal health care regulations, DNV and TJC accreditation standards as applicable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE: $59,000.00 - $97,250.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
