SUMMARY
The Vice President, Transformation role holds a vital role in large-scale transformation program management at Rochester Regional Health. The role is expected to leverage leading practice systems and tools and build relationships across the organization to unlock new value for the health system. The Vice President, Transformation will work successfully across the organizations executive team, aligning key stakeholders, affect change management, and drive results. This role will be at the center of managing change, and hold a central role in aligning targets and confirming actions are completed timely and to the accurate degree.
The Vice President, Transformation will have proven experience driving impact in substantial change efforts or programs, as well as a background in healthcare clinical and non-clinical operations. The role performs as an executive, to create results, ensure accountability, and solve problems throughout the transformation. The role is expected to lead and motivate a core team of experts who will hold key roles (e.g., financial, analytical, etc.) in supporting transformation work. With a strong background of operational management and business transformation experience, this role will have the opportunity and responsibility to continue transformation, and create value from innovated change drivers explored.

ATTRIBUTES
Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field required.
7+ years of experience in business consulting, project leadership, or healthcare operations required.
Executive leadership with demonstrated credibility in work stream program management.
Strong business acumen for portfolio management and program management.
Proven history of driving results in partnership with executives across a matrix organization.
Proven history in leading complex programs/project successfully through ideation, planning, execution and benefits delivery.
Courage to respectfully challenge to lead innovation and ambitions for a future based portfolio.
Collaborative mindset to work across verticals in an organization to manage interdependencies, complexities, barriers, and milestones.
Proven history utilizing change management techniques, with an ability to develop, coach, and guide owners and teams through change.
Change management certification preferred.
10+ years of leading change efforts for an organization preferred.
Portfolio Management Certification preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Portfolio Management: Expertly and actively manage the overall transformation portfolio to deliver expected financial return, and align value created to the long-term strategic interests of the enterprise. Partners closely with and manage priorities across executive leadership and other key stakeholders (e.g., Board) to manage scope, timelines, phasing, intake return on investment (ROI), risk management, and key objectives for program work streams. Manages initiative escalations, barrier removal, and drives urgency to ensure the overall portfolio is delivered with appropriate sequence, pace and intensity. Supports the development and approvals of transformation initiative charters, business case ROI, and roadmaps with responsible initiative owners.
Financial: Oversees the value delivery of transformation work stream initiatives and manages investment budgets. Manages the overall transformation portfolio, bringing focus to financial business cases and return on investment. Drives and validate the economics of the portfolio, while reinforcing rationale for the transformation and ensuring that the economic benefits are captured and validated.
People: Manage relationships with executive team and key stakeholders for inclusion in decision making, transparency of progress, and barrier/risk escalations. Manages program talent and staffing, and leads transformations with supported analytics and a balanced resource allocation for implementation to succeed. Aligns initiative ownership and supports team structure discussions. Coaches and develops initiative owners and teams through the transformation. Holds initiative owners accountable for value delivery. Continuously generates enthusiasm for transformation and creates visibility of transformation across the organization.
Process Management: Sequences initiatives with distinct tactical activities within the functional initiative teams. Engages and approves work stream related communications. Leads partnership with other work streams (cross-functionally/horizontally) to define interdependencies, manage complexities and barriers collaboratively.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $150,000.00 - $250,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
