SUMMARY
The Clinical Laboratory Intern will allow students to learn and participate in a clinical laboratory. The Intern will gain exposure to specimen processing and laboratory assistant tasks and responsibilities.

DEPARTMENT: Clinical Trials Laboratory

ATTRIBUTES
- Student Enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s degree program in life science preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- .Maintains specimen integrity for laboratory testing
- Helps with aliquotting studies, calprotectin processing, and other clinical trial activities after proper and documented training.
- Shadows Research & Development team in day to day activities
- Shadows licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist in day-to-day activities
- Participates in validations of new equipment or methods, procedure writing and reviewing, and inventory management
- Performs tasks commensurate with the employee’s abilities as assigned by Department Manager or Lead Technologist
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $19.00 - $19.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
