As Medical Director, you’ll lead our MSSU team in delivering efficient, targeted care, reducing hospital admissions, and ensuring patients receive the right care at the right time.   • Located at Rochester General Hospital, a 640-bed tertiary care facility, you’ll be at the forefront of specialized, high-impact care in a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Optimize Patient Throughput: Effectively manage patient flow in the MSSU, enhancing throughput, reducing unnecessary admissions, and enabling timely discharges.
  • Drive Improved Health Outcomes: Use your clinical expertise to deliver high-quality, short-stay care that preempts more intensive interventions.
  • Refine and Elevate Care Protocols: Within your first six months, you’ll lead initiatives to streamline processes, improving both efficiency and patient satisfaction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: L - Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Physician - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE: $200,000.00 - $300,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
