SUMMARY
As a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, you’ll provide clinical pharmacy services in a professional and competent manner to assure rational and appropriate drug therapy to the patients within our Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infectious Disease Programs
STATUS: Full Time, 40 hours
LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Pharmacy | Infectious Disease
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, days. Every 8th weekend coverage
ATTRIBUTES
Completion of residency OR fellowship training OR board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties. The employee may be working towards board certification as part of a timeline mutually agreed upon by the employee and supervisor
Licensure as a Pharmacist in New York State required
Possess a broad scope and depth of infectious disease knowledge, clinical skills and function well on multidisciplinary teams
Extensive experience as Infectious Disease or Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist
Advanced understanding of hospital pharmacy
RESPONSIBILITIES
Medication Management. Provides pharmacotherapy expertise in antimicrobial medications to optimize patient care
Training. Provide didactic and experiential training for Pharmacy Students, Pharmacy Residents, and other health care providers
Interdisciplinary Collaboration. Work in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams across the health system.
EDUCATION:
- BS: Pharmacy (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- LPharm - Licensed Pharmacist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PAY RANGE: $126,400.00 - $167,500.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
