SUMMARY: The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing the day-to-day activities within the department in accordance with all regulations governing our facility to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. Performs all required maintenance ordering, and record keeping on laboratory de-ionized water systems. Performs all required preventative maintenance (pm) on HVAC System.


STATUS: Per Diem

LOCATION: PRLC/Wegmans Cottages

DEPARTMENT: PRLC Facilites Engineering

SCHEDULE: Days 7:30am - 4:00pm

ATTRIBUTES

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Familiarity with the operation of power tools and gas powered equipment required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing the day-to-day activities within the department in accordance with all regulations governing our facility to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

  • Perform all required maintenance ordering, and record keeping on laboratory

  • Monitor all vital laboratory gases daily and change as needed

  • Perform all required preventative maintenance (pm) on HVAC System.

  • Responsible for snow removal and salting of all sidewalks. In addition, serve as backup to primary employee responsible for snow plowing.

PAY SUMMARY:
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $17.75 - $21.00
