SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Assistant is an important role to that has multiple responsibilities to facilitate the success of the Supply Chain team. The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for handling and processing all US Postal Mail, and interdepartmental mail in an accurate and timely fashion. They will manage the RRH Riedman campus mailroom and work with the hospital couriers in ensuring priority mail and packages are sent out in a timely manner. The Supply Chain Assistant also provides secretarial and administrative support to management and staff within the Supply Chain department. Independently conducts assigned work, determining method of completion, data and information requirements as well as analysis techniques. May coordinate a variety of activities within or on occasion between units, sections or departments. Work is frequently confidential and may be sensitive and/or critical in nature and requires a broad working knowledge of departmental and healthcare practices, policies, programs and services to complete. The Supply Chain Assistant is expected to provide superior customer service daily by modeling the health system core values.

ATTRIBUTES
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 1-3 years of previous work experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES

Mail Room Responsibilities (40%):
  • Receives incoming and interdepartmental mail, notices, pamphlets, magazines, and memos. Sort, classify, process, route, and distribute all mail to the appropriate destination.
  • Process all out-going mail and packages, including weighing, stamping and/or postage metering including STAT requests from customers as needed.
  • Assists in preparing hospital mailings and mail stuffers as required. Responsible for replenishing the postage on the mail meter to ensure mail goes out on time.

Administrative Responsibilities (30%):
  • Performs a variety of administrative/clerical duties including: Answering telephones, scheduling appointments, making copies/fax, processing time cards, processing purchasing or invoice data, requisitions, expense reports, stationary orders, and the like.
  • Maintains electronic/computer, paper files and records, retrieves information as necessary and may create financial and/or other reports as requested.
Vendor Communication and Invoice Processing (30%):
  • Process incoming Vendor correspondence and exercises judgment with respect to urgency, confidentiality and relative importance.
  • Work with RRH Purchasing team to add cost centers and complete Invoice summaries such that it can be processed by AP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

PAY RANGE: $17.75 - $21.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
