Rochester Regional Health (RRH) is seeking an accomplished Service Line Division Head of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) to lead a rapidly growing program and shape the future of rehabilitation medicine across a highly integrated health system.

This is a system-wide leadership role with a large footprint and the opportunity to drive transformation across RRH’s 8 hospitals and 12-county service area. It is an extraordinary opportunity for a visionary physiatrist to oversee and develop inpatient, outpatient, and interventional rehabilitation services while fostering system-wide collaboration. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership, clinical oversight, and programmatic development for PM&R across acute rehab, interventional pain, MSK, and neurorehabilitation.
  • Develop and expand interdisciplinary collaboration with Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, and Behavioral Health.
  • Strengthen inpatient rehab programs, post-acute transitions, and outpatient rehabilitation services.
  • Spearhead value-based care initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Enhance clinical integration, quality metrics, and patient-centered outcomes within a matrix leadership model.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this role is a forward-thinking leader who brings a combination of clinical expertise, business acumen, and strategic vision to expand and enhance a top-tier PM&R program. They should possess:

  • Board-Certified Physiatrist (MD or DO) with at least 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong strategic vision for PM&R service line expansion and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience in value-based care models preferred with system-wide rehabilitation integration.
  • Proven success in leading multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Business & Financial Acumen – Ability to oversee operations, drive revenue growth, and expand services. MBA or MHA preferred.
  • Servant Leader Mindset – Someone who is collaborative, adaptable, and passionate about supporting their team.
  • Strong Communication & Influence – Ability to align PM&R with other specialties, engage hospital leadership, and drive system-wide improvements.

PAY RANGE: $300,000.00 - $500,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
