Works with patients to assure that they meet their financial obligations to Rochester Regional Health System.
STATUS: Full time
LOCATION: Alex Park - Genesee Mental Health
DEPARTMENT: Financial Counseling
SCHEDULE: 8-4 or 9-5 Monday - Friday
Minimum Requirements:
- 2 years of relevant experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain the co-pay collection process in multiple buildings within Behavioral Health.
- Initiate contact with Patients/Family members at the time of service when self pay balances are not made. Secure payment/payment arrangements.
- Continuously meet with patients to carry out their payment arrangements.
- Monitor patient billing accounts regularly to assess payment compliance.
- Reduce bad debts within assigned areas by goal and objective amounts.
- Assess patient financial information to identify patients that may qualify for Financial Assistance or FHP.
- Complete Financial Assistance applications as needed and collect all necessary financial documentation.
- Work monthly Medicaid report and follow up on identified insurance changes.
- Must work with Financial Case Management team to monitor status of Medicaid pending applicants.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $18.00 - $23.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
