SUMMARY:
The Certified Nurse Aid works under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides direct, comprehensive, and family-centered patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, ensuring accurate documentation.
Delivers exceptional customer service and communicates patient conditions to nursing staff to support positive outcomes.
Maintains a safe, clean, and patient-focused environment in alignment with care standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active NY State Nurse Aid Certification
New Graduate Candidates: An unofficial transcript showing successful completion with a letter grade of B or better of a Nursing 101 course from an accredited nursing school program
BLS required within three months of hire
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
PAY RANGE: $18.45 - $27.84
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
