Job Title: Behavioral Health Tech

Hours Per Week: Varies
Schedule: Friday-Sunday, 2:30 PM-11:00 PM
SUMMARY:
Assist Unit Leadership in assessing patient’s functioning as well as developing and implementing treatment plans and services as patient’s needs warrant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Patient Care. Provide direct care services to patient on an individual basis, including activities such as daily living, social and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN; communicate with patient effectively and ensure they have access to required services
Treatment Planning. Participate in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan, incorporating patient’s needs and wants as shared through patient surveys and direct communication with patient
Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete documentation of patient’s response to treatment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in human services or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Bachelor's degree in psychology, Sociology or Human Services
1-3 years of healthcare experience in related field
Strong communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
PAY RANGE: $17.85 - $20.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
