SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant will perform patient assessments, medical examinations, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and other clinical responsibilities to support the delivery of care to patients and their families within an Interventional Radiology setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform Interventional Radiology procedures, including lumbar punctures, paracenteses, thoracenteses, and other image-guided procedures.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions; develop and implement treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing, imaging studies, and laboratory results.
- Provide pre- and post-procedure evaluations, patient education, and follow-up care.
- Prescribe medications, perform minor procedures, and coordinate care with physicians and specialists.
- Maintain accurate documentation, coding, and billing.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support patient safety and operational excellence.
EDUCATION:
- BS: Physician Assistant (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.

- PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - NYS Office of Professions
PAY RANGE: $65.00 - $75.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
