SUMMARY
As a Physician Assistant with Rochester General Pediatric Associates (RGPA), you will provide comprehensive pediatric care in a well-established outpatient practice dedicated to caring for children and families throughout the Rochester community.

LOCATION: Rochester General Pediatric Associates (RGPA)
DEPARTMENT: Pediatrics
SCHEDULE: Days; One Evening per Week; Rotating Saturday Coverage Every 6-7 Weeks

RESPONSIBILITIES
Patient Care. Assess, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients across a variety of clinical settings, including well-child visits, acute illness evaluations, preventive care, and chronic disease management. Develop treatment plans and provide education to patients and families.
Collaboration. Work closely with pediatric physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated, high-quality patient care. Participate in a supportive practice model that emphasizes teamwork and shared clinical decision-making.
Education & Development. Contribute to and benefit from the practice's teaching environment, engaging in continuous learning, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities.
Documentation. Maintain complete and accurate medical record documentation, orders, treatment plans, and patient communications in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Quality & Service. Promote outstanding patient and family experiences while supporting quality initiatives, clinical best practices, and the overall health and well-being of the pediatric population served by the practice.
EDUCATION:
- BS: Physician Assistant (Required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Moderate - Clinical - Moderate clinical roles are patient facing roles that require continual movement, including standing, walking, and lifting 20–50 lbs., along with pushing and pulling medical equipment and assisting with patient positioning. Employees perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching while completing fine motor tasks in busy or confined clinical environments. High sensory acuity is essential for monitoring patient status and responding to alarms or safety concerns. Emotional and cognitive demands are substantial, involving decision-making under pressure, responding to emergencies, and maintaining sustained focus. Environmental exposures include infectious agents, bodily fluids, chemicals, and radiation. TB testing, mask-fit testing, and physical exams are common requirements.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- PA-C - Certified Physician Assistant - National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- RPA - Registered Physician Assistant - NYS Office of Professions
PAY RANGE: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
