Surgical Technologist Internship

The Surgical Technology Internship Program features

• A 6-week paid internship, beginning June 16; work 40 hours per week for the duration of the program

• The opportunity to rotate through core areas including Anesthesia, Surgical Case Preparation, Sterile Technique, Surgical Scrub (Donning & Doffing), Surgical Instruments, and Sterilization

• Weekly educational and networking opportunities designed to expand your skills, build connections, and explore your future career in PeriOperative services

• Internship locations include: Rochester General Hospital, Unity Hospital, Newark-Wayne Community Hospital, Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic, and United Memorial Medical Center

To be eligible for the Surgical Technology Internship Program:

• Enrollment in an accredited Surgical Technology Program is required

• Demonstrated understanding of aseptic technique and basic computer skills

• Prior patient care or operating room experience preferred
